Saw the son of the retired pro I bought the pots from today. He said one of the sources used was Memphis Net & Twine. He thinks you can find them on line. You might get some guidance from their cata log.

do you smash just the cone part right? so when you get all done you have opening on one end? i always just kept minnow trap at dock and always seemed like caught eel, and yeah good striper bait , even though thay are a pain in the arse to handl e ,alittle sand helps with that but not the tangles

That's right, just smash the cone part flat so there is an opening on only one side. Sorry, should have been a little clearer about that.
