By pin rig I'll guess u mean on wire rigs....but could go either way....for all wire...3412c which is now a 3412cd....for pin rigs with mono...9175(x-short shank), 7766 (slight tuna bend) and the 3407ss(similar to 9175 but a bit beefier and a longer shank)...these later 3 are ring eye....the 3412cd is a needle eye (for wire applications).
7766 is a good all around choice and are fairly cheap in price.

So much of it comes down to budget.....there's good, better and best choices and the price goes up with each one....but a lost fish due to wire pulling out of just a formed ring-eye rather than a needle eye or a welded (brazed) eye can have life-long consequences.
Don't forget the anode!
I seem to be in the vast minority here, but everything I use from 7/0 to 10/0 is the 7731D. Just what's worked for me, and if it ain't broke don't fix it.
