Help with wobbly reel seat
Penn International Tuna Stick. It is the 2255 ARS 50-130# line. I was fishing a 30W with 60# line. Along with the wobbly reel seat the guides are rolling too. Is this rod worth rebuilding?? Any tips for getting the gimball and butt off? Is there any reason why I should not reuse the same seat? Thanks for any help.

If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?
I think the ARS line uses Slick Butts - I think the Penn Slick butts have an aluminum tube integrated to reel seat, then a plastic lower grip and finally a gimbal cap.
I think the first thing I'd try is removing the gimball cap. If it is aluminum, then heat it gently with a heat gun or alcohol burner. that should soften the epoxy and let you remove it.
If it is plastic, just cut it off and buy a new one.
Then you can remove the plastic sleeve.
My guess is that the inner aluminum tube/reel seat broke it's bond - you should be able to remove it - worst case heat it again.
It could be fun to rewrap the loose guides.

rewrapping
I have re wrapped, several penn rods just cut the threads with a single edge razor blade or hobby knife start on top of the guide feet to preven knicking the blang.
