Great to see everyone at the ICRBE

I put this on the roll call post, but wanted to start another one.

Well, The trip home was uneventful. No blue lights behind the car this year!!!

The weekend at the International Rodbuilding Exposition was absolutely amazing. It was soo cool to catch up with the guys at the show.

I prepared for the show by stocking up on 2X the inventory I had last year (over 500 sheets of veneer), and as Ponce will attest to, the table was stacked 4 deep all day Saturday. I bought a breakfast sandwich at 6:45am and I took my first bite of it at 3:30pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When the storm ended, I was 80% sold out! The problem was that I still had one more day of the show to work!!!!!!!!
Those new custom grips and soft touch reelseats for jigging rods went so fast I had my head spinning!! I think I might be on to something there!!!!!! More will be on order today.

Byrd, I am sorry again for leaving your stuff home. It is all ready for you and I will PM you later today.

The seminar was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! I had to shoo people away from the table so that I could get to the seminar and get set up. I was running late and I got set up and when I looked up, WOW!!!!!!! The room was packed standing room only with people outside the door that could not fit into the room!!!! The Demo went absolutely PERFECT and the excitement was electric!!!!!!!

I was absolutely humbled on Sunday, when the owner of the largest Rodbuilding supply companies in the world, came up to the booth, looked at my rods, shook my hand, and said "You are the Master. I am in Awe of your work." He then bought one of my Vertical Jigging rods that will now be placed in their display case at Mudhole!!!!! What an HONOR for me!!!!!!
So, now its unpacking and back to work to get rod orders rolling!!! Planers, IGFA 130's, Trout rods, you name it. Its in the works. Oh yeah, more video's also. I have so much electricity running through me right now that I can't contain it much longer!!!
Stay tuned folks and for those that made the show, thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing your results soon.

Good seeing you again. You did a great job on your seminar. Standing room only was an understatement! There were folks standing in the door way and out the door trying to get a sneak look at your technique.

Folks, I felt bad for Kevin. I walked by his booth and there were 4 and 5 deep waiting to talk. Sweat dripping off his brow, I bought him a coke and set it on his table, I walked back bye a little later and he hadn't had the chance to open it, he was so busy. Glad you did so good at the show. Those jigging grips are the heat and once they get seen more, I'm sure you'll have a run on them.

The show was good, and it was great to put names with faces. I learned alot and got some good deals on hard to get products. Kevin, once again great job on your seminar!! If ya'll ever get the opportunity to go to one of these, I'd highly recommend it.

Forgrips went on order about 10 minutes ago and I am getting about 4 dozen grips. I am also getting economical balancers and matching winding checks but need to find the ones I want. I will let y'all know when they arrive. Glen, great talking with you and I am glad that you got those blanks. You will not be sorry with them!

The Bomb, LOL haven't been called that since college!! Na, man you don't owe me anything, I saw a fellow fisherman and rod builder in need, and thought I could help a little so I did. Glad you enjoyed it. I'll be standing by for the pm on the guides.

I will second that Kevin's class was both outstanding and standing room only.

For me as a very new rod builder my plan was to use the show as a learning expereance which it was plus some.

I didn't run into any SFC members at the show, but ran into Mythosbeer and Sar Dean at a gas station about 70 miles from the show. Nice meeting you guys in person.

    Kevin, great job.

Yo..I too can attest that Kevin had a long day. I saw him at @ 5pm and said to me "Brother, I'm spent". Judging by the mob around his booth all day, I can see why.

Kevin, thanks for the foregrip, reel seat and EVA grip. As I mentioned, a head cheese at a major rod building component supplier was asking me where I got them and I told them you, so you may want to follow up. PM me for details.
