Have the jinkai crimpers with the green handles. Figured it'd be the way to go since I've always used jinkai crimps. Weren't expensive, 2 years old, still work great. Bought em over at tackle direct. Have yet to have one of these crimps fail.

    I agree with Tunny

I will say don't get the black handle "Bill Fisher" brand crimpers. They don't work for the 1.0 crimps. They are too wide and will crimp all the way across and not give you the flare on the 1.0's. This will save you all the break off I had 2 years ago.

I've heard good things about the new ratcheting Braid crimpers - no first hand experience though. I have a pair of the $50 Jinkai blue-handled ones that work well.

I DITTO THE BLUE HANDLED JINKAI....

THE CRIMPERS ON THE MARKET MADE IN KOREA OR CHINA AIN'T SQUAT....THEY BREAK EASY AND LOSE THEIR HEAD ALIGNMENT WHICH RESULTS IN A BAD CRIMP JOB

THE BLUE JINKAIS HAVE NEVER FAILED ME...ALIGNMENT IS PERFECT EVERY TIME

THE GREEN JINKAIS DO NOT CRIMP A 2.2 CRIMP THAT WELL IN MY OPINION

MARTY IM GOING TO TRY A PAIR...I LET YA KNOW HOW I LIKE THEM..

Crushed crimps and slack swages are a thing of the past with the new Braid “HD Swager™” Rigging Tool. Its foolproof design makes perfect connections every time without fail.
Most rigging tools are little more than pliers with grooves in the jaws. They don’t address the most important part of making critical connections in big game leader systems and rigs—compression control. Crimps and swages are designed to be compressed to a specific size and no further. Don’t compress them enough and your connections slip and fail. Compress them too much and they deform and crush the line.

With the “HD Swager™” Rigging Tool you can’t screw up. The jaws are wider than those found on other tools so they can be used on crimps or swages. Slip one of the six perfectly sized notches over a crimp and start to squeeze the ergonomically designed, non-slip grips. You’ll notice a clicking sound as the internal ratchet system measures the pressure your applying. When you reach the perfect compression point the ratchet makes a snapping sound releasing the pressure and leaving you with a perfect crimp.

The “HD Swager™” Rigging Tool is a quality product made with heavy-duty steel handles, over-size jaws and comfortable grips that will keep your hands from getting cramps from crimps after spending a few hours at the workbench making rigs. Ask your local tackle dealer for them today and take the worry out of rigging.

Hey John, I just put in an order myself for the same pliers and after doing a search for them this was the cheapest site I could find with shipping.

I have used the new Braid cripers pictured above and they are JUNK!!! The same can be said about the rest of thier crimpers, Sea Striker, Sevanstrand, Jinkai and most other crimpers. If you are not looking to spend $100.00 or more go for the Momoi with NO cutters. These crimpers have lasted me the longest. Over 750 crimps and these are still lined up perfectly.
