This is a Batson 845 blank with foam core grips and a custom reel seat. The rod is going to be used for specks and drum. Guides are 25, 10, 6 and then 3's to the tip.

Foam core with hot pink fiber glass. Purchased from Riley Rods

Nice looking rod Bird. Guessing the the foam is hard foam like Mike uses. How long is it?

Capt. Lee I got the foam and pink fiberglass from Mike. I have been using the foam core grips since last February when I saw Mike and Vikki at the rod expo. I have made several foam core gripped rods since. Lighter than cork, more durable than foam, the best of both.

That rod is a 6'6" rod and will most likely be paired with an older white 2500 Shimano Stradic.
