ADVERTISE HERE Next up in a continuous series of fishing lessons, The Feeding Frenzy Sportfishing and Boating Academy will be conducting two hands-on WORKSHOPS for fisherman wanting to become more skilled at targeting Kingfish. These workshops will teach you; Temperature ranges, migration patterns, bait preferences, structure and habitat considerations, live/natural baits, downrigger use and slow trolling techniques with both natural and artificial baits. Students will make a variety of Kingfish rigs and leaders they will keep to use for themselves. Emphasis is placed on understanding bait and lure selection and trolling spread placement and patterns. There is even a section on caring for and cleaning your catch, along with several recipes for Smoked Kingfish and Kingfish Dips ! Classes are in a professional setting at the YMCA in Venice from Noon to 4 pm on Saturday Nov 7th, and 14th. Register early as seats are limited. Please bring a reliable pair of wire cutters/pliers.
