Fishing Line Question?

Had an Old Friend of mine gave me three Penn 80's and a 130. They've been sitting in his trophy room out of the sun for four years with no use whatsoever since being spooled.

My question is do you guys think they should be respooled before using?

You will kick yourself if you lose a fish and didn't respool them...

Dont even think about it RE-SPOOL them.

Not only re-spool them, pop the drag side plate off and inspect, as well, depending on how old the reels are you might be suprised what you find in there. Re-Spool and test the drags heat them up good and re-check and re-set them. Check the free, strike and full tilt.

That's what I would do with reels Ive' never fished before.
