First powder coated foam core grip

Folks I got the foam kit from Riley Rods at the Rod expo and then they sent me a sample of there blue candy powder to coat the foam core with. This is the first time I tried using the powder and all I can say is wow. I think it came out pretty good for a first time. What do ya'll think?

Looks cool. Is that applied over the foam, or is that the color of the grip?

Put white cloth over the foam then mix the powder into the epoxy to die it. Then brush it on like regular. It is a slick finish but it is grippy. I haven't fished it but did a wet and dry test in the yard and it didn't slip. That rod will be my jigging/dropping rod. I can't wait to see what it does on the water. Hopefully the next pic of that rod will be with a grouper or wreckfish beside it.
