Actually there is a video somewhere on SFC. You can make as many wraps as you like to finish your Bimini. Sometimes I will do as many as 20. Walker Holcomb who does a lot of the Tackle Tips for Marlin Mag showed me how to tie a 40/20 Bimini in braid. It's a 40 turn Bimini and a 20 turn finish. It's not that hard to do but it is hard to explain. If you can't figure it out pm me and I will try to explain it to you.

your right.. there is one somewhere and also the LONGER the wraps go the better off you are.. it will make it longer and thinnner.. sometimes the short/stumpy ones are not the best..

i usually do the half-hitches to keep it tight and then i do about 15-25 turns depending on the side of the line and the type of fishing i am going..

It is a uni knot finish

Just tie the uni knot but instead of pulling the tag end right away, use your other hand and unwrap the uni knot by making concentric wraps over the standing line and tag at the same time. When done, and if you went in the correct direction, the uni will have been undone and you have concentric wraps around both the tag and the standing line. Then pull the tag line and it will cinch down perfectly.

    bimini finish

Almost like a rod wrap finish. I have tested this with and without halfhitches and the no halfhitch version works and test stronger and with no bumps either. The knot finish will make a slight snap sound inside the finish portion if it is done correctly.
Hold end of bimini tight (no halfhitches), make your 4 to 6 turn uni and then start where bimini ends and unwrap it down until all u have remaining is a loop and lube and pull. Burn end if desired.
The afore mentioned "inside" descripion confused me a little. But maybe we're talking about a differant ending though.

Practice it with heavier mono like 80 lb and then sit infront of a quality line tester and test both ways and see which one holds better.

Really may have to see it done before it makes any sense.
