220 pound Blue Marlin on HAND LINE.
Fin-Nor had a clunky anti reverse. Really annoying while jigging, and possibly while popping.

Spheros. Has instant anti reverse and a lot more refined reel. Personnally i'd spend a few more bucks and get a Daiwa Saltist spinner, but thats just me.

We run shimano across the board ... Except... we use the fin nors for that heavy spin job. Reason? Capacity... it holds a bunch of string. Smooth, strong, it holds more than the shimanos or the penn 9500's...
Shimano is smoother but lacks the capacity we look for as our primary use for this class is pitch baiting marlin...

the 18000 spheros holds 150 yds more 65# braid than the 14000 But the finn nor as Deep said holds more 100# than either can hold of 65# One other thing the Fin Norr's seem more corrossion prone than some of the other reels out there imho
