    Daiwa 2600 rebuild help

I found two Daiwa 2600s in my Dad's garage. I'm taking them apart to make sure everything's OK on the inside, however, I've hit a little snag. I can't get the rotor off the body to check the bearing. I have the spool off, & I have the rotor nut off, & I have the body opened up. I can't tell if the pinion gear is threaded & the rotor attached to that, or what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes the rotor gets a slight notch worn into it by the pinion gear. While keeping the pinion gear stationary, just twist the rotor in the opposite direction that it normally turns. This will usually free it up and it will slide right off. Give me a call if you need any more elp or have any questions. I'm in MD too in Pasadena...443-848-1074

I got it. Thanks. Where do you get your drag washers? I found a Daiwa service center in White Marsh, but I don't feel like driving that far.
