Hide- My Wifes Logged On
im kind of suprised to hear that everyone thats posted prefers floats in their squid. myself and most of the crews i've fished with would prefer a few pieces of lead inside of squidnation or mold craft squid for teasers. some crews ive fished with like a few lead in the front, some like a few lead in the back, some dont like any, and apparently some like floats. some like droppers some dont, some like a mix.
what do we do
i say every boats different. your just going to have to try it different ways until one starts working for you. i like my squid to skip on top whithout flying out of the water too much or sinking down under the surface too much. what i use to achieve this is going to depend on the boat. most of the boats ive fished on are larger charter boats where the chains are pulled from a higher position. may be why ive only seen lead.
by the way - those blue squid are the s##t

blue squid
i actually took a vote and blue squid could possibly effect the amount of fish you will ever see. good news is it wouldnt hit double digits as long as your eastern shore *** lives! god damn shame for wi- hi! not that you made it that far.
