Custom Built Rods

Anyone know a good place to get some custom rods made??? TackleTrap, you do custom rods right?? If so, shoot me a PM, i want to get 6 made up, depending on what custom will cost me.

The Manasquan Inlet Rod Shop. Dan is an exelent rod builder he did ALL of Bogans building for years. His rods are the only ones i will use. His rods are extreamly light, and strong. Hey Shark I would love to build your rods for you, but my time has become very limited these days, so I may not be the guy for you. If traveling isn't an issue for you or shipping the rods, I would give Dick French a call. I don't know if he is building right now, but he is the BEST!! 215-272-3349 is his number and if he can't do it he may point you in the right direction. Tell him I sent you. The guy that Mike Roni is talking about is good too, I've seen his work.

Before doing anything feel free to ask me about components and what you would like. There are alot of components that I like and alot that I don't. Some products are well worth the money. I can tell you if they are good or not. Also try to pick out the blanks by hand. Light, strong, durable, good feeling blanks are the ones you want. That is the purpose for a custom rod. More so then looks. I recommend Calstar, Seeker, Cape Fear, the new Rogues. There are alot of companies to chose from. Check for warranty issues as well, and builder warranties. Make sure they are built to your specs and don't take them if they are not. Good luck and keep me posted as to where you are going with this.
