Thumbs up Could this be the perfect hook of all hooks?? New Development - it's working name is ' 'Bimini Hook '

Check this out if you missed it don't miss it!!!

Here it is, it's working name is 'Bimini Hook' but this may change in the coming weeks as it becomes available. It is being made in darkened carbon steel.

I have used the hook on and off for 2 years, caught mahi, white marlins and wahoo on it and not lost a single fish.

Not losing a fish in 2 years? I'd question the validity of that statement. The only issue I see is if the fish is past the forward "center of gravity" on the hook for lack of a better phrase your past the barb already but constant pressure on the line is better than relying on a barb anyways.

I would also say the barb isn't the biggest hang up on penetration. Good selling points and a nice looking hook though.

I can assure you whatever you saw on ebay was not this hook. Might have been something similar made by someone else, but it wasn't one of these. I wonder if they are being knocked off already! Be careful what you buy there, they could be anything and if the price is low I would imagine the quality would be down there along with the price.

'splurging' on a hook that will probably break is'nt much of a deal in my book!

So i ended up buying those hooks on ebay. its like the old style hook you said that no one runs anymore.. theres no way one of these will break easy.. They are not like your hooks so they dont compare really. I do like your set up, although i would keep the barb because i suck at fishing!! They were sold as tuna/shark hooks...what are these called and how would you rig them, not sure if they were long line hooks?

No harm done, and I am sure your intent was benign. But comparing apples and oranges in a forum can quickly lead to trouble! Peace.
