Ok so cold weather is almost upon us. Any tips on how to care for your reels?

I just finished over 30 of them -- from Tiagra 50 wides to light spinning reels -- just get the right tools and the right grease for the reels you have. Best thing you can do is open them up -- if you see salt deposits or sand -- u can use Super lube or WD 40 to clean them out -- once you get into the gears and such -- remember where everything was -- and take each piece out in sequence. I'm no expert but if you have a any specific questions, I'll be happy to help.

This is what I have been using.... http://www.super-lube.com/ -- the synthetic grease -- it's clear and not messy like some others. But I know Avet has specific grease they sell for their reels as does Shimano. I think Shimanos is a bit lighter -- and it might affect performance -- but the truth is I don't think it does.
