Thinking about making up a teaser line to go behind one of my big birds, has any one tried the Bully or Tuff Hoo in this application, i'm talking Sailfish here.

I drag em... Raise some fish. dolphin, wahoo and cudas are a problem on any teasers like that here...
Andy,
I rig the tuff hoos as a dredge. The have raises whites where we fish off the mid Atlantic states.
I prefer the tuff hoos over the bully hoos because of the action from the tailpiece.

Where i am planning on pulling these is tooth city, do you think some small soft birds rigged with some 49 strand would fair better?
I wind up usuing squids to keep the toothy ones away... Seems to help quite a bit and I raise plenty on them. Up north I load the wash with tuffs, bullies, stripteasers, etc...
i put 40 of them on a bar. . . kinda like the tournament cable ultimate teaser. . .
I raised some bills on them, but the damn thing was heavy as hell and had a tendancy to dig in. . .
Ok guys, looks like squid then, thanks for the advise.Originally Posted by Deep C

the guy i sent some stuff too in FL has LOVED them and had some really good sucess with them.
Where are you located? How much are you fishing? If you are getting out a lot i might be able to get a chain or two over to ya to test out.

BTW, this is kinda like the bar I rigged, just I had about 3 times as many hoos.
I think if i rigged one this size, it would be alot easier to run with a lot less drag. Ill put together a smaller bar today and take some pics for you.
