    Building IGFA 80lb Trolling Rods

    I'm a rookie at rod building and am finishing up a set of Dink Rods. I'm happy with the results so far, so now I want to tackle a set of 80lb trolling rods.
    I want to use the very best components available ( I know, I'm bending over already---

    What blank?--- What Rollers?---- What butt?

    I'm thinking:
    Seeker SIGFA80 blanks
    Winthrop rollers--- ouch!
    AFTCO Unibutts

    Should I go with 5 or 6 rollers plus the tip top? These rods will be IGFA trolling rods (7')

    ???????

    Thanks Paul, The Storabutt offers no additional benefit to my needs so I'll go with the Unibutts.
    I would be interested in purchasing my components from you.

    Winthrop rollers- set of 6 (all Black);

    Lets see some pics of the dink rods, I know you have a camera

    I made my trolling rods on calstar graphiter blanks. Don't know if they are "the best", but I have been happy with them

    the winthrop rollers are nice if you have the coin

    I didnt think I wanted the storabutts either, but later regretted it

    Hey doug/Paul are you able to change from a uni to a storabutt after construction. Or is it possible to convert a normal standup rod from a fixed but to a storabutt of uni butt with completely screwing up the rod?
