    Braid on 80 Class reel

I have an 80lb class reel (not a wide) That I was going to spool up with 200lb hollow core braid and then a topshot.
I know if I use Dacron I can use a 200lb topshot on it easily. I am interested in possibly using Jerry Brown Spectra as I can fit more line on the reel. My question is how much more 200 lb spectra than Dacron and how heavy a line can I topshot with using the Chinese finger knot? I may be forced to use a 130lb topshot in Diamond mono which tends to break at a higher test.

200lb mono can fit into 200lb hollow spectra no problem. Try 700 yards 200lb hollow spectra and 100 yards 200lb Momoi Hi-Catch topshot on the 80T.

    80

Thanks for the info, I feel a little better about the 200lb spectra on the 80 now.
