    Blank color

Has anyone painted a blank with the Fusion paint? I see it advertised in Mudhole along with the Polyurethan clear coat. I have about given up on finding a white blank and am thinking of doing a red one......Lynn

I've painted 1 blank with fusion - Green... So far it is holding up great after 6 months of reasonable work.

I did coat the entire blank with epoxy in addition to finishing the guides to seal the paint.

    Painted Blanks

I paint all my blanks white. I use Awlgrip or Sterling. I used to prime with epoxy, but I dont anymore and it does not seem to matter. Black blanks take a few coats to get right. Some of mine have 12+ years on them.

After I wrap them, I finish the wraps with clear awlgrip...Never yellows...( florida sun yellows finishes fast in Fla )
