I love the small yellow handle Manleys and I use pliers when I rig my ballyhoo, so they get a workout. Maybe between 500 to a thousand ballyhoo a month. I usually get about two months out of them.
Thanks for the info and the reply
Rick
I've had a variety of pliers from low end to the ones that are a bit more money... These past 8 years I've been using DonMarr's and have gotten very good service out of them (the ones I use are the cheapest they offer at around $100... you can find them in Capt Harry's catalogue, captharry.com). Whatever brand you get, if they're worth keeping, you'll want to buy a leash or tether for them. You'll find them made out of coiled soft plastic, one end for the pliers, one end to your sheath...
Thanks, Nice web site

Lowes standard side cutters with rubber handles. 8 bucks. Get 2 - 4 months out of them, longer if I grease them one in a while. Expensive ones are nice, cheapos are less worry.
If you was thinking about Accurates, you should get 2-3 pairs of these. There made in the same plant overseas

I think you are right.

I think the best fishing pliers depend on what kind of fishing you are going to be doing and what kind of rigging you are doing as well.
I don't have anything special outside of basic shimanos and I forget the name of the green ones that float and are super light. I am sure someone can recall it
