Adding any paint, flexcoat or anything else to the entire blank will change the action of the rod, just like underwraps, 2 footed vs single footed guides. The more you put on a blank the more you change the action, period.

Well yes of course, but thats part of rod building right? Unless yopu want to fish with a cane pole. As far as flexcoat and a little color added,,that dont change the blanks action nowhere close to guide feet...and what will change the blanks action the most is the lengths of your guide feet wraps..thats how you can dictate action...you can stiffen a jigging rod up without trimming the tip by doing so....
But back to the marbled rods, very ,ittle material is used and weight added is hardly an issue here...that is pure humor to me,and no it doesnt change action of the blank,,,I use mostly all fast action anymore these days and when my marbled rods are finished,,the rod is still a fast action.Gotta love the effects the marble can give you!
Check this bad boy out..Made a little slideshow for you.~http://www.sportfishermen.com/photos...hp?photo=23762
