belt harnass combo question
I fish 12,20,30, and 50lb class tackle standup. I have a Playaction snap on belt that had been fine for dorado and our smaller wahoo and Yfins. It is not quite enough for the marlin that jump on the 50's and 30's and really is not nuff for the bigger Hoos. FYI, I run 80lb from the 50 Intl's (high speed hoos).
I want a belt and harness combo rated for 30-80lb gear. I have not found it. Most of the fish are caught on the 30lb rigs. I have been looking at the Braid Stealth with the harness. It seems the ratings are for 30 or less or 50-80, what I really need is at least 30-80.
Help please

braid stealth is a good choice, as is this one from melton or tackledirect:

It seems like you are really concerned about the rating, just find a lightweight harness that is comfortable and rated for more than you are pulling. Don't worry about the low end as much. For the 30's just don't use the harness, thats why they are two separate pieces.

Yep, your gonna need stitches
Black Magic. Its the only thing we use down here. Comfortable, durable , good value.

I like the price on that Melton combo. Looks sturdy. I just want to buy the best thing for the money. I could live for two weeks down here on the money I would save by buying the Melton belt over some other brands. Just doin the research. Thanks 4 the info

Stop staring at my Avatar.
I have belt/harness form BRAID and like it. The AFTCO model is good too and it's reasonably priced.

Another vote for Black Magic
