for the first coat of glass. I am not all the way done yet. So here are a few pics of the pattern I decided to do, a black and blue shadow box. Its not exactly how I envisioned it, but I think it came out okay. I actually had planned on doing the pattern up to the end of the second guide, but ran out of silver for the base wrap and decided to go to the end of the first guide instead. A few pics.

Great job! That was one of the first patterns I did and it got me hooked! Well done!

Only problem I had was the silver showed up between the black threads no matter how hard I packed it.

Second coat is on, rod is finished... I wrapped each guide 2xs second wrap was the metallic blue...

I will get a pic of it once I get home. It really came out good in my opinion. Now I need to see if I can break it.

Did you use size "A" thread, or "D"? "A" shouldn't have that problem.

Yeah, I used D thread. I guess you live and learn. I appreciate the tip, cus I was puzzled. I packed everything so hard I was afraid I was going to shift things.

Here's a link to a place w the finished pics. Only thing I didn't do that I wish I would have was add a hook keeper for the jig hook.
