Avet reel questions

I fish for Drum, Striper, Blues (greaseballs), Cobia, Dolphin from North and SC. Whatever the sport of the season. Although I presently have a (among others) Calcutta 400 I want to sell and get a larger Avet reel that would sit on my St. Croix 6' swc60mf rod. Its a medium power fast action rod 15-30 lb class rod. I was thinking an MX, but was unsure about a two speed reel, would I really use this feature? Wouldn`t the JX at 23 oz be too heavy?
On another note what is with the purple Avet reel I've seen, is this supposed to be a lah dee dah fashion statement or does it signify something? Whats next pink?

Guess what?? Pink is already out!! I think you're right on with the MX. I don't think you would need the 2 speed, but it doesn't weigh more than 1 speed, although it is more than $100 more, depending on which 1 speed you get. If you spooled the reel with braid and a topshot of mono, that combo could be a good small tuna catcher, too. If I was going braid, I would definetely get the 2 speed because you can target larger fish with the added line capacity
