We have 6 of the 30EX 2 speeds we have run For tuna they are awsome and a work horse to boot. We have used them for everything from AJ's, sharks, tuna, dolphin anything out there that our charters wanted to catch. They are simple to operate for the novice but have all the bells and whistles for the more experenced guy.

The only issue was going from internationals to the topless avets. Rember if your jigging the line after a short tuna strike to guide the line bact to the spool rather than letting it go so it doesn't catch on the harness lugs.

I have a older 4/0 and a 50 sds and love them both. I have not had any problems. The only complaint I have is the clicker switch itself on the sds is small and stiff and hard to get your fingers on. They have since changed the clikcer switch. Good luck.
