Alutecnos Reels???

Can anyone give me their opinions on these reels for offshore use?

I've got 3, that I bought back in 2001, quality workmanship and no problems at all. Drags, Components and Finish hold up great.

I have one its been a great reel but the handle broke on it last week. I took it to the tackleshop and they gave me a new one. That was aparently a problem with the earlier models but they seem to have it worked out now. the only complaint I have is where the clicker lever is

I sold my Penn gear just to switch over the Alutecnos.

I've got the following:

2 30W 2 speed
1 80W 2 speed
2 Gorilla
1 Veloce 20 (soon to be 4)

These are the best reels on the market...period. Strong and smooth drag. I have them in silver, and you will not find a better looking reel either.

I highly recommend them. Lots of people are switching over as well. I've been a proud owner since 2005.

good reels push button to get past hump for freespool sucks though.

Thanks for the responses. We've been asked to carry these from the makers to put on our reels when asked for. The unfortunate part is that you have to seel them at retail cost, HOWEVER, we can give away some pretty cool stuff we make with reel sales...

So, I guessing the masses are generally pleased with them.
