Advice On Rigging A Green Machine ?

Rigging up a few 9 & 12" green machines. Plan on using Tri Beads to postition the hook 3/4 down the tail. Since the green machine has a plastic head, does anyone run a weight just under the head ?
Plan to rig a couple for stand alone and a couple on a daisy chain with 3 six inch squid skirts ahead. Plan to use 130# diamond momoi on the 9" and 200# diamond momoi on the 12". Using the Mustad 2x ring eye hooks for the mono.

Is anyone rigging the green machine's with wire for wahoo ?

    Would appreciate your input.

    Thanks

You might want to consider fluorocarbon leader.

These are 5 3/4" and 7" green squid skirts. But you get the idea. I use 130 lb. Pink Ande, a 3/8 oz egg weight, beads and 7/0 or 8/0 7692 mustad.

The double line and crimps gives me something to put the red electrical tape on to stiff rig the lure.

I use just enough beads up against the egg sinker in the head of the skirt to eat up some space and make the hook ride just barely inside the tail end of the skirt. You could do the same thing with wire, just make a long haywire twist instead of double line and crimps.

Put enough beads to position the hook eye at where the skirt ends not 3/4 down the skirt; you want the hook point to be free from the skirt.
If you want to have weights use the gm with the weighted head.

Might want to check out John Unkart's book, Offshore Pursuit. He's got a TON of rigging info, diagrams, pics, etc. in there.
