A quick question. Is it true that you cannot do spiral wraps on a spinning rod? I am assuming this would make no sense but is/has anyone doing/done this. I'm assuming that the spiral wrap would have to go 360 degrees around the rod and it wouldn't make much sense but I figured I'd ask.
The spiral brings the line from the top of the rod with a conventional reel to the bottom of the rod. This is done for stability. A spinner has the line at the bottom anyway, so it is stable already; no need for a spiral on a spinner! Having guides on the bottom and spiraling up to the top has no real point as far I can tell!

I think it literaly would try to break itself. Have some sort of twisting pressure in the beginning of the spiral and the final transition to the bottom again. Or put the most pressure ever on some guides that are not double footed.
