I have an old lamiglass 10 ft blank that I used to use pitching jigs upcurrent on georges banks trips a long time ago(very long time)
rod was great could pitch a jig a county mile on the upcurrent side of the boat
now I want to cut it down, it is rated for 40 lb at the 10 ft length
when I measure to 6 ft the diameter is right at .400 that makes a number 28 tip,
I don't want to cut up from the bottom any more than I have to
the tip on the end now looks like a #18
I want to try to get more power out of the blank in the shorter length
does anyone make a tip that big, that is not a roller, I can't seem to find any.
