1st micro guide rod with carbon grips

Folks here are a few pics of my first rod using "micro" guides. It's a spinning rod. The stripper is a 12. I then went 8 and 6 then 3's all the way to the tip.

I used chartreuse thread to match the fiber grips. It came out looking pretty cool I think. The rod is much lighter than similar sized rods due to the "micros".

I still need to put a 2nd coat of finish on the wraps and the grips, but it is all but done. This rod will be used mostly for specks, pups, and rockfish. I got the fiber material from Riley Rods. Riley Rods has some pretty cutting edge grips and materials, ya'll should check them out.

You're gonna love the micros. They are about all I use on my light tackle shallow water stuff.
