is the penn 16 vsx a good reel for sailfish an small marlin

Unless I am specifically chasing blue marlin, I usually troll with my 16VSX out of Baja's East Cape and Cabo, usually with 500 yards of 80-pound braid and a 100 yard topshot of 50 pound mono.
It is heavier than you really need for sailfish and the majority of striped marlin, but is the right tool for when a larger than average striped marlin, 175-300 pound blue marlin or 100-plus pound yellowfin tuna happens to hit your lure.
Of course when blues or big tuna are around, I will step up to 80-pound or heavier gear and larger reels.
