Penn GLD50ll or Schimano TLD50llA
There isn't much difference between the two, price is about the same.
Is one better made, stronger than the other ? I'm looking into purchasing one and wondering what you guys might think. Thanks in advance.

I own both and my preference is the Penn GLD's. I now have 4 of the Penn GLD50 II's and one GLD30 II, in addition to a Shimano 50 and 25's. I run with my drags very light, or off, and I've found that I can set a lighter drag on the Penns. I've had the 50's since 04 and the only issue I've had is that a clicker on one stopped clicking this year. I know many others that swear by Shimano (although I'm not sure they've tried a Penn GLD) so I think you will probably do well with either.
