Mitchell 302 Parts

Hello,

Just found the site and joined yesterday. It looks like a great place to be.

I'm looking for a side plate for my Mitchell 302 reel. It's the one with the Red Lube Plug in it.

I'm also looking for an owners manual for one.

You can contact me at empty5853@yahoo.com.

Thanks and I look forward to being part of this forum.

Vr

I have a number of 302's that my Dad left me when he died. Most in good shape, although a little beat up. I had to fix a couple, managed to get parts on eBay, and found a guy that runs a tackle shop down in Currituck County, NC who has a lot of parts. I even bought a 303 (left hand model, since I am a southpaw) from the guy. That was a couple of years ago, can't remember his name, or the shop.

One of my favorite rigs is an old rod from the 60's with a pre-57 Mitchell 302 on it. I love fishing with it.

Mike the fisher-man has a store over on ebay, he specializes in Mitchell parts. Even has the manual pickup conversions for the 302/402. If he does not have what you want on eBay, shoot him a message telling him what you want, he does not list everything he has in the on line store.

I've bought from him a couple times, no problems at all.
