We started our annual Tom Walker 7-day this afternoon on the offshore grounds in
beautiful weather. Unfortunately we didn't get the right one but we did string
together a handfull of short stops for 55 mixed bft and yft.
With the weather glassing off we're going to spend the night and hope they float
    tomorrow.
Royal Star regulars Greg Fox and Andy Cooperman are in today's shot with a yft
    and bft respectively.

We started out with a good morning bite then scratched steady throughout the day
for 90bft and all the yft we wanted. The bulk of the bft were 20-35lbs while the
yft were 12-18lbs with a few standouts over 30.
We are going to take advantage of this beautiful weather and spend another day
here in the offshore grounds hoping for a good shot at the bft tomorrow.
Ann Van Dyke is in today's shot with a 30lb class bft. The second picture is of
    novice long ranger Joe Terre.

A little slower today but we managed to put together a nice catch on 20-40lb bft
and yft out of three long drifts. The bft put on a great show but lived up to
their reputation of being crafty biters. The lighter flouro short topshots were
the way to go which made for fun angling.
We are traveling tonight and will be trying for yellows tomorrow.

Great change of pace this morning in the form of a nice steady surface
yellowtail bite on the anchor in flat calm weather. Everyone had their fill by
lunch so we are presently making a move to put us in position to fish bft
    tomorrow.
Ray Nies is in today's shot with a 40lb yellow.

Another fine day of offshore angling on quality 25-40lb bft in nice weather. The
overall sign was impressive today with fish spread over sixty miles which should
bode well for upcoming trips. We will finish up here tomorrow.

Stellar ending to an already great trip with a great bite on beautiful 30 to
55lb offshore yft. With a mix of dorado, bluefin, and yellows, this offshore
scene is shaping up nicely for the next couple months.
We are heading up easy this afternoon in nice weather with all aboard completely
    satiated and enjoying the ride.
We will be in 0530 tomorrow and will turn around on our annual Humbolt
Lumberjacks 6-day with Tim at the helm, look for his reports on the 5th.
Dave Hall is in the first shot with an average 35lb yft from today's bite, Eddie
Garratt is in the second with a 45.
