A condition change made for much slower fishing today but we stil put a few nice fish aboard highlighted by a 276. We have another full day and a morning so hopefully the current gets straightened out tomorrow. Today's shot shows Jack West's 276 coming through the gate.

We started the morning with a nice scratch on 100-190lb fish but unfortunately the two cows we hooked were unintentionally released. After a slow midday we got back in the saddle and put together a nice afternoon on 130-170lbers with a couple jumbos that weighed in at 281 and 338. This has been a cow fishermans dream with numerous shots at big fish just about every day. Tomorrow will be our last morning so hopefully we can top off our last well with a couple cows before we leave for home. Bruce Helton is in today's shot with his 338.

We finished up the trip in fine style this morning with an incredible bite on straight cows that saw another seven hit the deck from 205-281. There were a few 150-190 mixed in also but the majority of the fish around us at daylight were 200lb plus. Mackerel on the heavy gear was the way to go with many of the bites coming within feet of the boat. Today we have a rare shot of the seven cows, more pictures to follow as we travel up the line.
Our final tally on the big fish was 26 over 200 and 2 over 300, following is a list of the anglers who boated them.
Dennis Braid 205
Jack West 276,267
Kohei Kikuchi 281,243,208
Mark Bower 252
Alfredo Salgado 238
John Cox 298,252,203
Bruce Lozekar 246,211
Michael Green 205
Art Nolen 240,211
David Green 215
Martin Rudolph 217
Tim Wilson 204
Bruce Helton 338,231
Hot Bobby 281,256
Larry Ward 305,254,213
Marius Coetzee 232,216

Our seemingly endless nice weather officially came to an end yesterday with thirty knots of wind and unruly seas. The good news is that it is beautiful this morning and looks to stay this way until we hit the point at around 1230hrs tomorrow. Thirty six hours of tough weather on a 15-day trip I'll take anytime. Tim will depart again the 9th on our first tagging trip of the year so look for his reports following departure.
Our final two shots show Kohei kikuchi and Hot Bobby with their 281lbers.

So far so good on the weather as we make our way up the line catching up on some much needed rest and relaxation, a great time to reflect back on an epic trip that saw some of the best cow fishing I've seen down below. The magnitude of some of the bites we had on straight cows was intense and will provide memories for life. Today's shot shows John Cox with the biggest of his three cows, a 298 taken on a sardine.
