Jumbo yellowfin

Hello Anglers,

We've spent our last couple days working our way down the Baja Coast. We were able to pick up a few quality wahoo and yellowtail on our way to the lower banks. We arrived yesterday and had scratch fishing on jumbo yellowfin. We put together a nice day with the tuna weighing anywhere from 130# - 240#. We're going to make mackerel tonight and do it all over again tomorrow. Wish us luck. MIKE

Today we started off on the lower banks. Even though we had a few casualties, we were still able to scratch out a nice day of 130#-180# tuna. There's still an excellent sign of that bigger fish around. The weather remains flat calm. We'll begin working up the line tonight. Wish us luck. MIKE

Today we fished the " Ridge ". Bad conditions made fishing tough. Very little sign of life. And very tough to get a bite. This place is changing every day. We'll be making our way out to Alijos rocks to try our luck out there. The weather is still holding for us. Wish us luck. MIKE

Today we arrived at the rocks. We were welcomed with 18-20 knots of wind. There was very little sign in the morning, but after lunch, things started to turn on. We were able to stay busy through out the afternoon on 25#-40# yellowfin. Late in the day, sharks became a problem. It was hard to get the fish to the boat. We're leaving tonight to make our way up the line. MIKE
