    Fishermans Warehouse

Hello Anglers, We departed today on our Fishermans Warehouse 10- day trip. After putting on an excellent load of bait, we cleared the point around 1030. Charter master Rick Iwatsubo came equipped with a ton of giveaways which he passed out just before lunch. As of right now we are headed south in flat calm weather. Justin

    Seminars and rigging

We had our first seminar of the trip this morning where we covered trolling, flylined baits, bait selection, bait tank etiquette, and following your fish. The rest of the day was spent rigging tackle and hanging out. Our first stop of the trip will be Alijos Rocks tomorrow around 0900. Justin

Report from the Excel at Alijos Rocks, December 29, 2011

Justin Fleck checked in from the Excel with this report, "We fished Alijos Rocks yesterday, and there was no sign of tuna around anymore we did see some sign of Yellowtail but they were reluctant to bite. In a word it was very poor, we are going to spend the next few days down below. We'll see if we can get some Yellowfin tuna on board before we start working our way back up. We'll be down in the lower zone sometime later today. We'll be there for a couple of days, let's see if we can't get some action. The weather is nice, the guys are having a good time all is well. We'll check in again tomorrow."

Report from the Excel at the Lower Zone, January 1, 2012

Justin Fleck checked in from the Excel, "We ended up having a very nice day yesterday. We ended up keeping one or two hooked pretty much all day until sunset. We ended up with 10 over two and one over three. That's a total of 11 Cows. We have one more day down here in the lower zone. We're hoping to put another nice day together before we start working our way back towards San Diego. The weather is very nice we have high hopes for today. We'll check in again this afternoon or the first thing tomorrow morning."

Final Day of tthe Excel at the Lower Zone, January 2, 2012

"Our final day down in the Lower Zone was very productive for us," reported Justin Fleck. "We started hooking fish in the gray and the school stuck with us. Again it was all that big fish, 140 lbs or better. We had 6 more Cows for our morning go around, with the big fish in the morning being 282.4 on the kite with a mackerel. Altogether we had a great morning, I think we had 16 of those big ones. We're going to be offshore tomorrow, see if we can find some Dorado or somewthing that wants to bite. We'll be up at the islands the following day see if we can find some Yellowtail for the end of our trip. The weather is still fantastic, the Guys are having a great time. We'll check in again tomorrow."
