Cleared the point

Hello Anglers,

We departed today for another 15 day trip, picked up a nice load of bait, and cleared the point around 1030. The weather is beautiful for our ride south to the fishing grounds. It is nice to see so many of our old friends again. Wish us luck..... JUSTIN

Hello Anglers,

We have spent the past couple of days doing seminars, rigging tackle, and just hanging out enjoying the weather. The guys will be able to wet a line starting tomorrow morning when we arrive to the fishing grounds. Our plan is to start off with some wahoo action to get everyone loosened up and then go for tuna. We will see how it plays out. Wish us luck.... JUSTIN

Good action on wahoo and quality T!

Hello Anglers,

Our first two days fishing down here in the lower zone have brought good action on wahoo with some quality tuna mixed in. The mornings are spent trying for tuna where we have picked up few on chunks and live flying fish. The afternoons are used to look for wahoo with the troll jigs before we try for tuna again just before sunset. Congratulations goes to Bob "Bubbles" Maugh for catching his first 300 pounder today. His fish fell for a Yummee Flyer floated underneath a helium balloon and weighed in at 322.2 pounds on the boats certified scale. Here are some pictures from the past two days. JUSTIN





The best action!

Hello Anglers,

Tuna fishing has really picked up for us in the last 24 hours with our best action just after dark. Most of the fish are in the 100-190 class. We did have a few shots at some "heavies", but luck was not on our side and they lived to fight another day. Wahoo fishing remains steady as well. Here are some pictures. JUSTIN

Tuna fishing has really picked up for us in the last 24 hours with our best action just after dark. Most of the fish are in the 100-190 class. Steady fishing on quality tuna!

Hello Anglers,

We finished up our trip with steady fishing on quality tuna. We managed to get a few more cows. Norm Sogioka landed a 202# yellowfin, Brad Felger boated a 240# yellowfin, and Allen Krahenbuhl caught his personal best, a 257# yellowfin. We also found time to pay our respects to long time Excel angler Dan Felger up close to the Island. Weather forecast looks a little rugged, so we're getting a head start toward home. Nice ride

Hello Anglers,

As the forecast predicted, we had two days of nasty weather. Fortunately for us, the weather has come down and it looks like we'll have a nice ride for the rest of the trip. As of right now, it looks like our ETA is 0700 tomorrow morning back at Fisherman's Landing. JUSTIN
