    What kind of Bass?

    There is a pond behind my house that I have seen some fish in recently and got lucky and caught a small bass. Not sure what kind it is though due to being more of a saltwater fisherman.

    btw, I live in southeastern North Carolina.

    Thanks for the reply. I was leaning towards the spotted bass. I couldn't find a pic where another spotted bass has such a promanently dark tailfin.

    its a largemouth, no spotted bass in SE NC. Have to get to the mountains or at least high foothills to find them
