Thats a hell of a fish jer. Not sure if it is a carp. Looks more like a cobia that has had some strict adherence to the Bill Pino Diet

That is a very strange looking carp. Carp usually have large scales a bottom type mouth.

Could be an issue with translating from the Portuguese, Carp might just mean bottom feeder.
I wonder if they're good eating? |

I was just reading an article. He was fishing for carp and trahira when he saw that fish swimming next to him and he caught using his hands (the fish was hurt).
The article says the fish had 126 centimeters (4.1 feet) Too bad it wasn't released. He plans to get a mount and put in his restaurant. |

Here in Brazil I think the name for that fish is "big head carp" (carpa cabeçuda)

Interesting fish... Our North American carps are different with a sucker type mouth. That fish resembles a large Pacu or member of the pirhana family. Extrordinarily large for either. Congrats to him and now Jer its your job to catch a bigger one...

Down here there are carps with large scales and bottom type mouths as well.
