Any Cape Fear River fishermen here?...

I'm just wondering how far up the Cape Fear River one needs to go to find some good catfishing and if it's worth the time this time of year. A buddy of mine wants to take his daughter fishing and would like to try it but hasn't a clue about it and I don't have the answers for him. Any help would be great.

Mark, put in at the 133 bridge on the NE Cape Fear, either direction are some good creeks and you should be able to find some up there. Black River is another good area. Water is colder in the CF that the NECF now...
