Your right
Mr. Joe:
Vermont sure doesn't make any sense at all, they want all hunting to stop but there guns are so laid back, they will start changing that one day for sure. If, you could draw a moose tag there it, would a real treat they have some great moose. What kind of arrow shafts do you use, do you any gadgets for hunting? |

Bearhunter
I use mostly gold tips. I just bought some cheap eastons on sportmansgeardaily as well. I use those for the recurves. As far as gadgets go, not many. No range finders or cameras. Toys are getting harder and harder to justify to me wife. I'll check out that website. It's good to see the weather turning here finally to give the deer a break.

The Pheasant battle
Mr. Joe; I just finished reading the latest New York Outdoor News about the fate of the pheasant Farm. It seems our wonderful Gov. Patterson has changed his mind as long as other funding can support the farm such as an increase in hunting fees and or a special pheasant stamp, it seems that he had to pay attention to the law suit that was filed by Conservation Alliance of New York and New York State Rifle and Pistol Association for the sportrsman of New York. It seems since the sole funding of the farm came from license dollars things had to be changed. Its a good thing when hunters come together and fight the fight for all of us. So hopefully things will now change for the better.
I just came back from the sportsman show in Harrisburg, so many things to see and most of the outfitters will do just about anything to get some hunters, since times are so bad.Lots of gadgets. The strangest thing happen to me when I was with a outfitter trying to make my deal when, his phone rang and Mr. Barta's production manager was booking a hunt for him at the same place and with the same guide I was, that outfitter will lose his mind with two bow hunters doing the same thing at his place. Real tough winter for the deer and most of the game out there, the turkeys must of taken a real beating, I hope the weather finally breaks, I never tried that web site you mentioned, I will take a look. |

By ourselves
Mr. Joe:
I was lead to believe that this was a hunting site but, the only people that use this site seem to be me and you, well there's nothing wrong with that so I guess we shall continue down the path. Around the corner; here in NY and PA a great time coming with the special snow goose season and if any turkeys are left after this hard winter we had, we get another chance in the woods. I have to say after all of the things I did last hunting season the best was a public land hunt, self guided blast I had chasing mule and whitetail along with pheasants , monster rabbits dogs that go underground, yotes and maybe the hardest thing that a bow hunter can do is spot and stalk antelope, all of this cost almost nothing and is worth the time and effort. |
