Just got back from a trip to Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica fishing with Billfish Safaris. Finished editing one of two videos with lots of big roosterfish along with some Jack Crevalle and Sailfish. Had a disturbing day when we rolled up on the spot and found longliners had set their gear about a half-mile offshore on the reef we were fishing the day before. Lots of turtles caught on the line and we were able to cut them off the line and bring them onboard to remove nasty ass j-hooks. Costa Rica really needs to start enforcing their commercial fishing regs or this fishery is doomed!!
