CCA Inshore Offshore Throwdown

CCA Mississippi is sponsoring its first tournament of the 2008 season on June 7th. The Inshore Offshore Throwdown will have an inshore division consisting of speckled trout, redfish, and triple tail. The offshore division is limited to cobia and will be two days. Go to http://www.ccamississippi.org for more information.

The tournament fishing shirts were done this year by FishHead Gear.

The CCA Tournament this past weekend was a great time, despite the 15-20 mph winds that would not let up. Although the offshore had to be cancelled, the inshore tournament had nearly 60 entrants. Both first and second place speckled trout went to the Brousards, who weighed in two stringers of 5 fish each averaging nearly 3.5 pounds per fish.

There are some tournament shirts left over if you are interested in purchasing one from CCA. They are selling them for $15.00 each plus a flat fee of $6.00 for shipping regardless of the number of shirts that you buy. You can send an email to me at jmarquez@fishheadgear.com if you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt.
