I wanted to take a minute to tell everyone about a 3 day trip I went on last year aboard the Legend, and probably one of the strangest and funniest things I've ever seen while fishing.
So we're into our second day of fishing and we're about 50 miles south of San Diego just patty hoppin. We have already made a few stops with plenty of luck on YFT and Dorado. It's getting late in the day and we come across this massive patty that's holding what seemed like hundreds of dorado and YFT. As we get closer, I was able to make out some sort of object that was floating pretty much on top of this patty. We start to come up on the patty and people are starting to get bit and the dorado are going wide open. Finally, I can see what the object on the patty is, it's a blow up sex doll with her head burried in the kelp and her legs spread eagle up in the air. Wait it gets better, not only is there a wide open Dorado bite but the YFT are everywhere also. I finally get bit and I can tell it's a nice YFT, but as I start fighting the fish all of a sudden a seal starts circling the boat. The dog eventually ends up on the patty playing with this sex doll. It starts flipping it in the air and splashing around with it like sex at sea. Probably one of the funniest things I've seen. I told the deckhand Mike if he hasn't gotten laid in a while now is his chance. He didn't like that too much but then responded with, "I would but I don't like sloppy seal seconds!"
