It was almost a replay of yesterday, but we ended up losing some real heart breakers. Fish that were possible 300 pound, mere inch's from the gaff and being brought on board the deck of the Shogun. Some kite fish are biting on either the double trouble rigs or live fliers, but by far the most popular way to hook up is a lively sardine attached to 30' of 100 pound Blackwater fluorocarbon and either an ringed 8/0 Eagle Claw 2004 or ringed 7/0 Super Mutu.

One more quick note is that in the past few days some passengers that are making up there own top-shots are using some looser weaves of spectra or super braid and finding that the core end of the monofiliment "punches" through the braided wall, once it has been fishing. One way to combat this is to make up your top shots before hand with the Blackwater 16X super braid. Another thing to remember is to size the hollow braid to the corresponding fluoro or mono you are using. You don't want to be shoving 100 pound mono or fluoro into 200 hollow, you should down size the hollow to the 150 or even the 130. Spectra is a slick material and should be dealt with in such a manner.
