Royal Polaris Sportfishing California Fishing Report 1/12
Hello everyone;
Well it's not much I can say about this trip, just it was OUTSTANDING!!! We had an excellent day of Yellowfin tuna fishing. We had fish up to 270 pounds, with many in the 140 to 180 catogory. The weather was just gorgeous again, with a slight breeze to keep it pleasant for all aboard.
At 18:00 hours the fish wells were full, no more room for giants. The last fish of the day was caught by Alan Outsuka. Alan fish weighed in at 204 pounds. With no more room for giants, we are making a move to San Benitos island. We still have a little bait left, and we will try our luck at some Yellowtail.
Lucky anglers today;
Alan Otsuka 204 pound Yellowfin tuna
Susan Gentry 218 pound Yellowfin tuna
Steven Goto 270 pound Yellowfin tuna
Gary Ahsing 202 pound Yellowfin tuna
I don't know how many Yellowfin we have over the 200 pound mark, but I will get that information from Roy, and put the results on the report in a few days. With a boat full of Yellowfin and Wahoo, and a group of happy anglers we will close for now, and report tomorrow. Until then, good luck and good fishing. The R/p crew (Roy, Dharyl, Aaron, Eddie, Rafael, Cole, Anthony, and Jim)
