Sunday, November 14 - We made it out again yesterday on Saturday, but it wasn't a very nice day on the ocean, with a pretty steady 15 to 20 knots of wind out of the northwest that came up by mid-morning on top of a good eight plus foot swell, making for a cold, miserable, bouncy day on the water. Sure seems like there has been a lot of those days this season. I for one am glad to put this season in the rear view mirror so I don't have to try to explain anymore for a while why we're cancelling...again...due to rotten ocean conditions, especially when I get the usual, "really? but why? it's so nice on land" response. But with weather we endured on Saturday, along with the ocean forecast for more of the same or worse for Sunday and Monday, that's exactly what we did for both Sunday as well as for tomorrow on Monday...our trips were/are cancelled...again. Sure hope folks understand that when we cancel, it's only with their best interests at heart. It definitely has to be one of the toughest things to deal with in this business. We wanted to get these last couple of days of fishing in as much as anyone, but it just wasn't to be. Do I sound disappointed? You betcha. Not quite the way we would have liked to end the season, but not much we can do about it. But there will be better days to come....
