    Unhappy Phil Parker - RIP

Those fishermen world wide who have fished in any of the big Kona fishing tournaments will immediately recall the sonorous tones of "Long Nose" Phil Parker, who passed away comfortably at home this morning. He will be deeply missed by generations of off shore fishermen.

    Auwe! Rest in peace.

He was a salt of the earth guy. Phil and his brother George, who passed early last year, were two of the most considerate and generous guys I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I remember being at George's house shorty before his passing listening the Phil and him crack on each other. Totally hilarious! Here are two brothers in there late 80's and early 90's just ripping on each other like they were in high school. What a special time. Phil and George Parker are big losses to the sport fishing community.
